Last updated: September 10, 2026. If you are specifying a liquid filling machine, the shortlist spans ten machines from an ultra-high-speed rotary flowmeter to an aseptic carton line, net-weight and volumetric fillers and entry linear machines. This ranking compares them on what actually differs on a production line: fill accuracy, output, format reach, hygiene and how much of each specification is publicly verifiable.
The core idea of this page: the ten leading liquid fillers solve the same job but win on different strengths — speed, dosing accuracy, aseptic or hygiene reach, or entry cost. Pick by the product behaviour, container and fill principle you actually run, then force a witnessed fill with the accuracy and cleaning data on your product.
How we ranked them
Each machine is scored on four dimensions — fill accuracy & output, format & process reach, hygiene & certification, and data verifiability — using published specifications only. Where a figure is not published it is marked "Not published" rather than estimated.

1. Krones Modulfill VFS
Manufacturer: Krones. The high-speed beverage reference — a rotary filler holding volumetric accuracy with an inductive flow meter across soft-drink and hot-fill processes.
Source: Modulfill VFS — Krones
"up to 81,000 containers per hour" with "an inductive flow meter monitors the fed filling quantity".
2. Tetra Pak A3/Flex
Manufacturer: Tetra Pak. The aseptic carton reference — fills milk, juice and plant-based drinks in a closed sterile environment so the product stays ambient-stable.
Source: Tetra Pak A3/Flex — Food Ingredients First
"a capacity of 5,000 to 8,000 packages per hour, depending on volume".
3. Serac RB Net-Weight
Manufacturer: Serac. The net-weight reference — weighs every fill, so density shifts do not drift the fill. For products sold or regulated by weight.
Source: RB rotary filler-capper — Serac
"up to 42 000 containers/h (1 L)" with "An accuracy of approx. 1g/liter (1 sigma standard deviation)".
4. KHS Innofill DRV
Manufacturer: KHS. The volumetric rotary that slots into a complete turnkey line — rinsing, filling, labelling and packing from one supplier.
Source: Innofill PET DRV — KHS
"fill your bottles to exact fill levels at up to 82,000 bottles per hour."
5. Pack Leader FL-800
Manufacturer: Pack Leader. The entry linear piston/peristaltic machine for mid-output and changeover-flexible lines.
Source: Pack Leader
FL-800 linear piston/peristaltic at up to 50 bottles per minute.
6. Fogg F12
Manufacturer: Fogg (Holland, Michigan, founded 1956). Rotary gravity and pressure fill-and-cap monoblocks for North American water, juice and dairy. Numeric output Not published.
Source: About Fogg — Fogg Filler
"Fogg was founded in 1956 by Clyde Fogg" and documents the F12 filler.
7. Ronchi EXACTA
Manufacturer: Ronchi Mario (Gessate, Italy, founded 1966). Inductive-magnetic and mass-type flowmeter dosing for food, cosmetics and chemicals. Numeric output Not published.

Ronchi documents the EXACTA fillers with high-filling-accuracy flowmeter dosing.
8. Federal XACT-FIL
Manufacturer: Federal Mfg (Waukesha, Wisconsin, founded 1946). Level (gravity) and net-weight filling for dairy, juice and water. Numeric output Not published.
Source: Federal Mfg — XACT-FIL
Federal documents the XACT-FIL net-weight systems and G-Series level fillers.
9. Filsilpek Flowmeter
Manufacturer: Filsilpek (Ahmedabad, India, founded 2013). Flowmeter, volumetric and servo dosing in inline and monoblock configurations. Numeric output Not published.
Source: Filsilpek Group
Filsilpek builds flowmeter, volumetric and servo liquid fillers.
10. Busch Inline
Manufacturer: Busch Machinery (Tucson, Arizona, founded 1983). Inline liquid fillers with gravity, peristaltic and piston dosing for food, beverage, chemical and pharma. Numeric output Not published.
What these machines cost
Liquid fillers separate by architecture: entry inline and semi-automatic fillers in the low thousands to low five figures; servo rotary and net-weight fillers in the five to six figures; aseptic and turnkey lines in the six figures and up. Always quote with your product, container, target output and cleaning requirement.
5 questions to ask before you buy
- What is the measured fill accuracy on my product and container, not the brochure figure? Ask for a witnessed fill study with the sampling plan and reject threshold.
- Which filling principle (volumetric / net-weight / level / piston) matches my product and metrology requirement? Match it to viscosity, particulates and legal-weight rules.
- Which wetted parts does the CIP cycle cover, and how is cleaning verified? Confirm coverage and the residue test.
- What is a full changeover time, demonstrated by my operators? Time a real changeover.
- Can you run my product and container and show me the fill-weight spread and cleaning data? The witnessed run is the only proof that matters.
