FANUC Corporation is a Japanese multinational company that specializes in robotics and automation technology. The company is known for its production of robotic systems, CNC (computer numerical control) systems, and factory automation software, contributing significantly to the development of automation industries worldwide.FANUC was founded in 1956 as the Fujikoshi Machinery Works. In 1972, it launched the first successful industrial robot. In 1982, it introduced its first CNC system. The company was renamed FANUC Corporation in 1983. Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, FANUC expanded its product line and global presence, opening subsidiaries in various countries and launching new automation technologies. In 2010, FANUC began implementing a more integrated approach to robotics with the introduction of the AI-powered intelligent robotic solutions.
